BATANGUEÑO JOBSTART BENEFICIARY FINDS REGULAR EMPLOYMENT THROUGH JOBSTART PROGRAM

From being a Jobstart trainee during the program's pioneer implementation in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, Niamey Moises now celebrates another milestone in her career as a regular employee of the Department of Labor and Employment’s program partner employer.

Looking back, before entering the workforce, 23-year-old Niamey M. Moises faced uncertainty while waiting for her college graduation. Eager to avoid staying idle at home, Moises actively sought productive avenues to transition into full-time employment.

"Bago ako pumasok sa programang ito ay nagkaroon ako ng maraming hamon sa buhay dahil isa akong graduating student noon, ayokong nasa bahay lang," Moises remarked. 

This youth employability drive directly aligns with the key priority programs of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, which focus on equipping young job seekers with life skills, technical training, and direct industry exposure to bridge the transition from school to work. Under Secretary Tolentino's guidance, the department continues to strengthen youth employment programs to enhance the skills and employability of the Filipino workforce.

"Ang naging karanasan ko sa programang ito ay nagagamit ko na sa aking trabaho ngayon lalo na yung mga ginagawa naming aktibidad at pagsasanay," Moises noted, emphasizing the practical value of the instructor-led modules. 

Following her completion of the program, Moises secured employment as a Production Operator with a partner employer located in Real, Calamba. She directly applies the skills and operational training gained from JobStart to perform her daily production responsibilities. 

“Sa DOLE, thank you so much sa inyo kasi dahil sa inyo nagkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob na magkaroon ng trabaho…Sa NEXEM, thank you so much po sa pagtanggap nyo sa amin sa Jobstart. Thank you po rin po kasi nagkaroon kami ng chance na magkaroon kami ng first-time na trabaho at dahil po sa inyo natutunan ko po ang pagiging pakikiisa at teamwork sa loob po ng kompanya,” Moises shared.

Now, as Moises enjoys her full-time regular employment with NEXEM as a production operator, her success highlights the department's ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and employment facilitation. Through the continued implementation of JobStart Philippines, DOLE remains dedicated to guiding young graduates into stable, meaningful, and productive careers.
