DOLE BATANGAS FORTIFIES EFFORTS FOR SUGARCANE, BIOETHANOL WORKERS

The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 4A - Batangas Provincial Office (DOLE BPO), with the members of the District Tripartite Council (DTC), held their 3rd Quarter Meeting for 2025 at Bucana, Nasugbu, Batangas.
DOLE BPO Batangas Provincial Director Predelma Tan and Senior Labor and Employment Officer Darius Allan Lubis presided over the aforementioned meeting.

During the meeting, the council discussed issues, policy implementation, and other matters related to the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
Through the regular meeting of the council, the Department ensures that the concerns are being addressed and other programs related to the betterment of the welfare of the sugarcane workers are being protected and upheld.

Meanwhile, on September 18 and 19, 2025, the Balayan Distillery Inc. (BDI) and Progreen Agricorp. Inc., in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) personnel Darius Allan Lubis and Lillosa Madrigal, successfully implemented the release of the Social Amelioration and Welfare Program (SAWP) financial benefit fund bonus for the year 2024.

A total of 151 beneficiaries for BDI and 206 molasses-based ethanol workers of Progreen Agricorp Inc. – Nasugbu Plant benefited from the monetary claims, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the company’s operations and continued success.
This initiative underscores the commitment of pr and DOLE to supporting workers in the molasses-based ethanol industry by providing them with the financial benefits they deserve.
