DOLE Batangas Provincial Office (DOLE BPO) officially launched last September 14 its innovation project named as Employment E-Services (EES) which made possible the online access of 2,538 applicants to career-coaching and job vacancies from private employers and government agencies.
“This Employment E-Services is not a one-day thing but an everyday platform for our job seekers. Online na talaga tayo. The 2,538 applicants who experienced it for the first day is just the tip of the iceberg. Sa bawat araw na dumadaan, mas marami ang ating natutulungan,” Dir. Predelma M. Tan said.
“Ang unique sa EES aside from its being an online endeavor is hindi lang siya beneficial for the applicants. Nabibigyan rin natin ng pagkakataon ang mga Batangas Public Employment Service Offices and Job Placement Offices na mas makatuwang natin actively dahil they are asked by the online system to perform supplementary job matchings. May personal touch kumbaga, and to them, we are very thankful,” she added.
In addition, EES also highlights the value of career-coaching. It gives users the idea that career-coaching service exist and it can be availed for free.
“It is our observation that many applicants are qualified to various jobs, but they still do not make it to the list. With EES, especially its career-coaching aspect, maaari namin silang makausap on a one-on-one level online at mabigyan ng payo kung ano ang mga maaari nilang gawin,” Dr. Karl Joseph Sanmocte, the lead developer of EES, explained.
Areas of focus on career-coaching include personality assessment; resume-building and presentation and communication-confidence prowess.
“In the coming days, we have an upgrading sa career-coaching aspect ng EES. It is something that the job-seekers should look out for dahil it is really our aim to give them the best,” Dr. Sanmocte mentioned.
As of this writing, an additional 2,198 job applicants have availed EES which can be accessed through www.tiny.cc/EmploymentEServices.
