JOBSTART BENEFICIARIES COMMENCE FULL EMPLOYMENT WITH PARTNER EMPLOYERS IN BATANGAS
After months of a series of trainings on soft and core skills, technical skills, and internships, Jobstart beneficiaries from Sto. Tomas City, Batangas officially commenced their full employment with the program partner companies this September.
One of the JobStart beneficiaries, Marijel M. Villegas, shared her learnings and appreciation of the initiatives of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in advancing programs for youth employability.

“Kumbaga, yung lahat po ng natutunan ko po sa training, ini-apply ko po sa mga sitwasyon ko [sa trabaho]...Nagpapasalamat po ako na nabigyan ng pagkakataon na makasama rito [sa Jobstart]. Sana marami pa po silang matulungan,” Villegas shared.
Leisa May Tabornal, another JobStart intern, also expressed her gratitude for achieving a career milestone through the Jobstart.

“Sobrang thankful po sa DOLE dahil sa program na ito, hindi na po ako nahirapan maghanap ng job,” Tabornal remarked.
During the Grand Graduation last August, DOLE Batangas Director Predelma Tan expressed her appreciation to the partners of the Department, including the Local Government Unit of Sto. Tomas City through its Public Employment Service Office as well as the two partner companies.
Furthermore, Director Tan also spearheaded the recognition of the JobStart completers during the ceremony.
“Congratulations po for reaching yung end po ng ating proseso for JobStart. Maraming-maraming salamat po sa ating mga “jobstarters” for participating po sa programa ng Department of Labor and Employment. We truly hope po na yung ating dinaanan na proseso po ay marami po tayong na-acquire na for personal keeps po natin,” Director Tan said.
From being trainees and interns, currently, both Marijel and Leisa are now working as employees of the partner companies and hoping to acquire more industry-based knowledge in the manufacturing field.

JobStart is an initiative of the DOLE that provides an intensive and comprehensive training series for youth beneficiaries seeking to kickstart their careers in various industries. Through JobStart, the Department aims to enhance the employability of the youth, making them capable of being job-ready after the training and internships.#
