513 TINGLOY ISLAND RESIDENTS JOIN TUPAD ORIENTATION


LOOK: To reach more qualified and deserving beneficiaries, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CALABARZON through its Batangas Provincial Office BPO held a TUPAD Orientation for the 513 residents in the island municipality of Tingloy, Batangas, on August 26.


In coordination with Tingloy LGU, DOLE BPO representatives, Ms. Salvacion R. Kalalo and Ms. Miah Ericka B. Dimacali conducted a brief orientation highlighting the salient features of the program.


Consequently, beneficiaries signed their contracts and received their personal protective equipment.


The beneficiaries shall receive a daily wage of P435.00, the highest prevailing minimum wage in the region for four hours of work per day.


After the completion of the 10-day work program, the beneficiaries shall receive a total of P 4,350.00 as their compensation.


Aside from their salaries, TUPAD program beneficiaries also received a One Year GSIS Personal Accident Insurance.


DOLE BPO continues to bring emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers not just on the mainland but also to island municipalities such as Tingloy.
