BATANGAS JOB FAIR EMPOWERS YOUTH EMPLOYMENT

In celebration of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2024, the Municipal Government of San Juan, Batangas organized its first job fair with the goal of bridging decent work opportunities for their youth at their Municipal Gymnasium on August 15.

After coming across an advertisement online, Mr. Rosven Sagocsoc of Brgy. Mabalanoy, San Juan, Batangas narrated that he eagerly prepared to join the recruitment activity where numerous companies will be offering thousands of vacancies for every jobseeker like him.

“Nakita ko po yung jobfair ng San Juan sa cellphone po LGU post po. Malaking tulong po sa lahat ng wala pang trabaho at hirap sa paghahanap ng trabaho ngayon po madali nalang po pupunta nalang at pipila sa mga job na gusto po namin,” he remarked.

For an Information Technology fresh graduate from Brgy. Sampiro, San Juan, Batangas, Mr. John Carlo Sebuc, the recruitment activity enabled him to finally land a job on-the-spot as an IT staff for a company located in Lipa City.

“Napakalaking bagay po sa amin na nagkaroon po sila ng ganitong programa. Nagpapasalamat po kami na mayroon pong ganitong program na tulong po sa mga fresh grad at sa iba pong wala pong trabaho,” John Carlo eagerly shared.

A total of 436 job seekers joined the recruitment activity and partner companies recorded a total of 187 hired-on-the-spot participants who all went home with much hope of a better life through the new work that they secured from the job fair.
