BATANGAS JOB PLACEMENT OFFICES WIN AT NATIONAL SEARCH FOR BEST PESO AWARDS

Two Job Placement Offices from Batangas Province won in the recently concluded National Search For Best PESO Awards held on October 25-27 at Palo, Leyte. 

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) formally awarded the 2023 National Search for Best PESO Awards, Educational Institution and Hall of Fame Categories, to the Lyceum of the Philippines University - Batangas (LPU-B), and the University of Batangas, respectively.

This year, the DOLE conferred the Hall of Fame award of the University of Batangas for winning four consecutive times.

Meanwhile, the Lyceum of the Philippines clinched this year’s Job Placement Office Category award as a first-time entrant to the competition.

Dr. Alex Ylagan of the Career Development, Alumni, and Placement Office of LPU-B received the award on behalf of LPU-B, while Mr. Vincent Alcantara represented the UB during the ceremony.

As part of the recognition, LPU-B received a trophy and Php 150,000.00 while the UB also received a trophy and Php 250.000.00.

The said award is the department’s way of recognizing the role of the JPOs in employment promotion in school-based institutions.

Aside from the awarding of Best PESOs, the three-day event also provided the participants from all over the country with substantial plenary sessions that aimed to equip them with knowledge and ideas for implementing employment promotion programs.
