BATANGAS PESO FEDERATION, DOLE BATANGAS STRENGTHEN CAREER DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT PROGRAM, OTHER DOLE PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

As part of the kickoff activity in strengthening the implementation of the Career Development Support Program (CDSP), the Department of Labor and Employment IV-A Batangas Provincial Office, in partnership with the Batangas Provincial Federation of Public Employment Service Office Managers Inc., conducted the CDSP module formulation with the PESO and Job Placement Office (JPO) managers and staff during the 1st Quarter Meeting at Mabini, Batangas, on March 26.

Ms. April Rose Magpantay, Provincial Employment Focal Person, conducted the orientation about the scope of the program, including the three core dimensions such as career counseling, vocational counseling, and employment counseling for every target client.

In connection with this, select PESOs shared their best practices when conducting the program. The activity aims to capacitate the managers and their staff in the effective delivery of learning sessions to students and job seekers.

Prior to the CDSP lecture and workshop, Ms. Salvacion Kalalo also discussed the salient provisions of the laws relating to the implementation of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program.

Afterward, the DOLE awarded recognitions to outstanding PESOs and JPOs for being the best implementers of various programs of the Department, including the livelihood, TUPAD, local recruitment activity, anti-illegal recruitment campaign, PhilJobNet advocacy activity, and assistance to First Time Job Seekers.

The two-day activity culminated in the presentation of the participants and the summarization of the points to improve the effective implementation of the CDSP for all target clients in the Batangas Province.
