BATANGAS PESOs, JPOs, ELECT NEW SET OF OFFICERS, STRENGTHEN EMPLOYMENT FACILITATION SERVICES



In its goal to provide effective delivery of employment facilitation services, the Public Employment Service Office Managers of Batangas Province and the Department of Labor and Employment IV-A - Batangas Provincial Office conducted their 2nd Quarter Meeting held at the Training Center, DOLE BPO, The Olan's Place, Marawoy, Lipa City, June 13.


DOLE Provincial Director Predelma Tan graced the meeting and emphasized the essence of the continued support of the PESOs and Job Placement Offices (JPOs) in realizing the role of the Department in providing full, decent, and productive employment for all. Further, she also shared organizational updates and upcoming activities involving the PESOs.


The meeting proceeded with the agenda, wherein, DOLE Provincial Employment Focal Person, Ms. April Rose Magpantay, discussed the current status of the implementation of the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES). Aside from these matters, she reminded the PESOs and JPOs about the job fair guidelines and requirements, should there be initiatives from other organizers.

The Batangas Federation of PESO Managers Inc. officers, Ms. Roselyn Cabrera-Francisco and Mr. Noel Silang, discussed the details of the upcoming Regional PESO Congress as well as the hosting of the National PESO Congress this October.

Meanwhile, to continue the initiatives of recognizing outstanding PESOs and JPOs that excellently fulfill their core functions, the DOLE Provincial Office held the awarding of high-performing offices with the implementation of Career Development Support Programs, Referral and Placement, and Labor Market Information.
