BATANGAS PESOs, JPOs SHINE REGION IV-A HIGH PERFORMING EMPLOYMENT OFFICES AWARDING CEREMONY

A total of 25 plaques were brought home by Public Employment Service Offices and Job Placement Offices in the recently concluded FY 2025 Performance Assessment and Planning Exercises held at the National University Laguna, Calamba City, Laguna, 14 January 2026.

PESO Balete and the University of Batangas were named as two of the Regional PEIS Champions in their respective categories, highlighting excellence in employment information services.

Moving forward to the next award, several PESOs, particularly Sto. Tomas City, Batangas City, Mabini, and Laurel, along with the University of Batangas, received the recognition as the High-Performing PESOs/JPOs with the Most Number of Programs Implemented.

The extensive implementation of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) programs significantly expanded their clients’ access to employment assistance, skills development, livelihood support, and emergency employment, enabling more jobseekers, workers, and vulnerable sectors to benefit from responsive and inclusive labor interventions.

Meanwhile, in the Provision of Labor Market Information, the same leading PESOs and the University of Batangas were again acknowledged for delivering timely, accurate, and relevant labor market data that guide jobseekers, employers, and policymakers in informed decision-making.

For the other core function, the Delivery of Career Development Support Programs, the following offices including the Sto. Tomas City, Batangas City, Lipa City, Mabini, Agoncillo, and Mataasnakahoy, as well as Batangas State University–TNEU, and the University of Batangas, received their respective plaques affirming their robust career guidance, employability coaching, and youth-to-work transition initiatives.

Another major recognition on the excellent Referral and Placement of Qualified Jobseekers, the same three component cities, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas City, and Lipa City PESOs, together with the Job Placement Offices of Lyceum of the Philippines University–Batangas and the University of Batangas, were honored for their effective job matching, strengthened employer partnerships, and successful facilitation of local and overseas employment opportunities.

Collectively, these accolades reflect the sustained collaboration, innovation, and service excellence of Batangas PESOs and JPOs in promoting inclusive employment, workforce readiness, and economic resilience across the province.

According to Mr. Noel Silang, President of the Batangas Provincial Federation of PESO Managers Inc. and the PESO Manager of Batangas City, the recognitions are a testament to the continued dedication of all PESOs and JPOs in Batangas in providing quality employment facilitation services for all.

“Collectively, these achievements elevate Batangas Province’s standing as a leader in employment facilitation, align with the 2025 strategic thrusts, and deepen our mandate to connect Batangueños to dignified work and sustainable livelihood opportunities. We extend our gratitude to DOLE, LGU leadership, partners, and stakeholders whose support made these results possible, and we remain committed to scaling these gains for even greater impact,” Mr. Silang remarked.
