DOLE BATANGAS BRINGS TECHNICAL AND ADVISORY VISIT TO RESTAURANT OWNERS IN SAN JUAN
In its continuous bid to equip owners of micro establishments with necessary knowledge on labor standards and occupational safety in the workplace, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Batangas Provincial Office officers conducted the Technical and Advisory Visit to forty-seven (47) restaurant owners in on September 21, 2026, at the Municipal Multi-Purpose Hall, San Juan, Batangas.

In coordination with the Municipal Tourism Office of LGU San Juan and the San Juan Association of Restaurants and Cafes (SJARC), DOLE officers Ms. Necorita Anzaldo, Engr. Mary Grace Lumberio, Ms. Rozil Regodos, Mr. John Paul Dawis, and Ms. Miah Salvador, with support personnel Mr. Nomer Villapando, led the learning sessions on General Labor Standards and Occupational Safety and Health Standards, together with a First Aid Orientation.
In line with Secretary Francis Tolentino and the DOLE's mission of fostering decent, productive, and safe employment, the DOLE representatives guided the participants on compliance with labor laws, workplace safety, health standards, and emergency preparedness.
“Maraming Salamat po, DOLE Batangas, for yesterday’s seminar. It gave us a clearer picture of our understanding as employers, and also the rights and the welfare of our employees. More than just compliance,” Ms. Gina Mercado-Soler, President of SJARC, shared.
Furthermore, according to Ms. Soler, they realized the essence of upholding labor labor compliance not just for the interest of their business but also for the welfare of their workers.
“We are reminded that taking care of our people is an important part of running a sustainable and progressive business. We look forward to applying what we have learned in our daily business activities and to creating a better workplace for our employees. Again, maraming salamat po sa inyong suporta at mabuhay po kayo,” Ms. Soler added.

The Department continues to roll out learning caravans and visits to various establishments across different industries to ensure that workers in every workplace are safe and enterprises are compliant with the legal requirements set by labor laws.#
