DOLE BATANGAS, CDRRMO LIPA COLLAB IN FIRST AID TRAINING

Strengthening inter-agency collaboration and emergency preparedness, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) IV-A through its Batangas Provincial Office partnered with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Lipa City to conduct a Standard First Aid Training at the DOLE Batangas Training Center, Lipa City, Batangas, on March 30.

The joint initiative highlights the growing importance of partnerships between government agencies in promoting workplace safety and disaster readiness. 

Through the collaboration, DOLE Batangas equipped 20 of its personnel with essential life-saving skills necessary to respond effectively to medical emergencies.Trainers from CDRRMO Lipa led the activity, delivering comprehensive discussions on basic life support, emergency response procedures, and essential first aid techniques. Moreover, the training also featured hands-on exercises, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in simulated real-life scenarios.

Ms. Janine Lansangan, a government intern who participated in the training underscored its value, noting that the experience provided both practical skills and confidence in handling emergencies.

“The basic life support training was essential as it equipped us with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations and potentially save lives,” the intern said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Necorita Anzaldo, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of DOLE Batangas, expressed her appreciation to CDRRMO Lipa for its support and expertise in facilitating the training. She emphasized that such partnerships are instrumental in strengthening the agency’s capacity to respond to emergencies and in promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.

DOLE Batangas emphasized that the activity goes beyond compliance, underscoring the critical role of preparedness in safeguarding both employees and the public.  By strengthening its partnership with CDRRMO Lipa, the agency reinforces a shared commitment to building safer, more resilient workplaces.#
