In its pursuit to engage more employers in the second year of the Jobstart Philippines Program implementation, the Department of Labor and Employment IV-A Batangas Provincial Office, in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office of Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, conducted an online program orientation with prospective partner employers on 13 January 2026.

During the program, DOLE IV-A Batangas Provincial Office Focal Person, Ms. April Rose Magpantay, led the learning session, during which she emphasized the goal of the Jobstart Philippines Program especially for its youth beneficiaries.
The learning session highlighted the unique feature of the program, focusing on training and employment of youth not in education, employment, or training, who are considered at-risk youth.

Moreover, Ms. Magpantay discussed the full cycle implementation of the program from registration to the 10-day life skills training, job matching, technical training, internship, and ultimately to wage employment.
Employers are also introduced to the significance of employing holistically trained youth beneficiaries as future employees, turned managers, or perhaps, leaders of their workplaces.

On January 27, 2026, an on-site employers forum will be held at the City Hall of the City of Sto. Tomas, which aims to cater to more prospective partners who can be a part of this year's implementation of Jobstart in Batangas.
Meanwhile, in February 2026, the DOLE IV-A Batangas and PESO are set to launch the registration and conduct of the 2026 Life Skills Training for beneficiaries aged 18-24 years old.#
