Highlighting the power of industry partnerships in shaping future-ready graduates, the University of Batangas (UB) honored its esteemed collaborators during the Gawad UBian, a recognition ceremony, at the UB Auditorium, with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Batangas receiving praise for its strong commitment to bridging education and employment.

Representing DOLE Batangas were Ms. Ricaela Salazar, Labor and Employment Officer II, and Mr. Leomar De Torres, TUPAD Coordinator, who accepted the award on behalf of the agency.
The recognition underscores DOLE’s proactive role in creating meaningful employment opportunities and championing collaborative programs that empower students while strengthening the broader labor market.
Through its continued efforts, DOLE helps bridge academic learning with real-world workforce needs, ensuring that both graduates and job seekers are better equipped to thrive in today’s evolving economic landscape.
Being one of the recipients of the Most Active Job Placement Industry Partners, the DOLE Batangas Provincial Office has proven its sustained partnership with UB and other educational institutions, playing a significant role in helping students gain practical experience and connect with potential employers.

Representatives from various private companies and government agencies were also present at the event, each honored for their unique contributions to the university’s mission. Their joint participation emphasized a unified dedication to strengthening the connection between academic learning and practical, real-world experience.
As the University of Batangas remains committed to advancing educational excellence, its acknowledgment of partners such as DOLE Batangas reflects an ongoing effort to promote inclusive growth, enhance employment readiness, and deepen community involvement.
More than a ceremonial gathering, the event stands as a powerful testament to the impact of collaboration in driving lasting, positive change.
