Earlier this month, two tripartite labor councils in Batangas—the Batangas Province Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (BPTIPC) and the Tanauan City Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC)—held back-to-back meetings and quarter reviews.
The Tanauan City TIPC Executive Committee held a strategic meeting focused on the ratification of its bylaws and key board resolutions. The session was attended by DOLE Batangas, headed by Provincial Director Predelma M. Tan, Tanauan PESO Head Edison Jallores Jr., Atty. James Amiel Vergara from the Tanauan City Local Government Unit (LGU), and officers of the Tanauan City TIPC.

The council members began outlining advocacy programs aimed at enhancing worker’s welfare for private sector employees in the city. These programs are expected to roll out in the coming months with support from Tanauan City Mayor Nelson Collantes, who reaffirmed his support on the council's plans and initiatives.

Meanwhile, BPTIPC convened its 3rd Quarterly Review and Planning Session at the LIMA Technology Center, gathering officers from labor and management representatives of different sectors in the province.

DOLE Batangas Provincial Director Predelma M. Tan thanked the council for its active role in participating on DOLE programs such as wage consultation, the Workers’ Organization Development Program (WODP), and multi-agency learning sessions.
The meeting also conducted a review of the BPTIPC Constitution and Bylaws, ensuring its relevance and responsiveness to the current needs of workers and industry leaders among organizations in Batangas.
“We have thoroughly reviewed the accomplishments and strategized our 2026 plans with timelines. This meeting has reignited the spirit of oneness in the council..”, Ms Madonna Dio the BPTIPC Vice Chair for Management Sector, remarked.
Ms. Ann Jelyn N. Natividad, Senior Labor Employment Officer conveyed that these reviews are essential in building a stronger foundation for a more cooperative environment in labor sectors, with joint commitment among its members.

These meetings reflect councils’ mission to create participatory platforms where labor and management can collaborate spontaneously. With DOLE’s guidance, their past and future plans are aligned with social accountability and mutual respect while remaining steadfast to their dedication to promote industrial peace and uplift employees’ welfare.#
