LOOK: With the theme, “Security Industry in New Normal Challenge,” the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CALABARZON through its Batangas Provincial Office (BPO), Senior Labor and Employment Officer, Ms. Cristina Barayang, shared insightful department updates during the First PADPAO Region IV Security Convention held at Lima Park Hotel, Malvar, Batangas, August 2.
During her discussion as the representative of DOLE Regional Director, Exequiel Ronie Guzman, Ms. Barayang, tackled the implementation of the first tranche of Wage Order No. IV-A-19.
Aside from this, she also talked about the legal basis of the creation of the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC), its officers, as well as the benefits of the Labor Management Council (LMC) in the workplace.
Furthermore, Ms. Barayang encouraged the participants to create their Provincial or Industrial Tripartite Council for the security agencies in the region.
By doing this, she emphasized, the council will create an avenue for industry-related communication which can help in maintaining the peace among workers and management representatives.
Meanwhile, Mr. Freddie R. Delos Santos, President of the Philippine Association of Detective and Protective Agency Operators (PADPAO) Region 4 Inc., expressed his support and commitment to coordinating with the concerned agency for the creation of ITC in the security industry where they belong.
