DOLE REINFORCES ADJUSTMENT MEASURES PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS ENHANCEMENT OF COOPERATIVES IN BATANGAS

DOLE IV-A, through its Batangas Provincial Office, turned over various business enhancement equipment and measures to two cooperatives in Batangas as part of its continuous implementation of the Adjustment Measures Program (AMP).
Christmas came early for the San Isidro Multi-purpose Cooperative (SIMCO) after DOLE released much-needed support through the provision of materials and equipment during a ceremonial release at Brgy. San Isidro, Batangas City, December 11.

The Department reinforced its Adjustment Measures Program (AMP) in its recent provision of packaging materials, refilling equipment for dishwashing liquid, detergent, fabric conditioner, and hand soap to the beneficiaries. Aside from these materials, the beneficiaries also received business enhancement assistance through the provision of an 11-month subscription to the Inventory Management System and the installation of an accounting system on two computer units.
DOLE BPO Director Predelma Tan graced the ceremony and shared that the Department is continuously helping more cooperatives enhance their businesses through capacity building measures and product enhancement under the AMP.

SIMCO Manager, Ms. Marites E. Ramirez, remarked that they availed the AMP for them to adapt to the new demands of technology, which can eventually help them enhance product quality, packaging, and market access, and offer new product lines such as hand sanitizer, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, and fabric conditioner.
“Ako po ay nag papasalamat kasama ang aking board of directors at buong kasapi ng San Isidro Multipurpose Cooperative para sa programang ito sa AMP. Ito po ay napakalaking tulong para sa amin makadagdag ng income ganon rin ang makapag dagdag ng mga trabaho sa ilang tao namin. Maraming maraming salamat po,” Ms. Ramirez shared.

Meanwhile, another cooperative received an early holiday blessing as the Yakap and Halik Multi-Purpose Cooperative officially accepted the additional catering service items during a ceremony held at Bagumbayan, Tanauan City, Batangas, on December 5.
DOLE Batangas Provincial Director Predelma Tan also graced the ceremony, and in her speech expressed her commendation to the cooperative's determination of elevating their business through training and additional equipment.
Through the provision of up-to-date learning sessions and much-needed equipment, DOLE hopes to empower more cooperatives like the beneficiaries and help them cope with the current demands of their respective markets, keeping up with their competitors in the industry. #
