DOLE TRABAHO AGAD PROGRAM CONNECTS JOB SEEKERS TO LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN BATANGAS CAMPUS JOB FAIR

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) IV-A Batangas Provincial Office in collaboration with the University of Batangas successfully organized a campus job fair aimed at connecting graduating students, alumni, and local job seekers with industry leaders held at the Millennium Gymnasium, on June 10, 2026.

The DOLE provided strategic assistance and ensure the smooth implementation of the Trabaho Agad Program—a nationwide initiative led by Labor Secretary Francis N. TOLentino. The fair brought together 34 local companies and two overseas employers, offering a wide array of career opportunities for attendees.

This collaborative effort served as a bridge between the academe and the professional world, facilitating direct connections between employers and aspiring professionals.

According to Mr. Vincent Alcantara, Job Placement Office Manager, the event aimed to streamline the job search process, empowering students to take first steps toward meaningful careers.

Reflecting on the program’s impact, Ricaela F. Salazar, Labor and Employment Officer II of the DOLE Batangas, emphasized the importance of the initiative during the event. "Sa pangunguna ng ating Sec. TOLentino, ang Trabaho Agad Program ay inilalapit sa ating mga estudyanteng magsisipagtapos upang mas mapabilis at mas mapadali ang kanilang paghahanap ng trabaho," Salazar stated.

The sentiments were echoed by student participants like Cryztal Ann A. Adap, who shared that the job fair served as a powerful reassurance. "Nakatulong sa akin ang job fair na ito bilang isang graduating student at nalaman na hindi pala tayo pinapabayaan ng gobyerno at hindi nag-iisa, dahil naka gabay sa atin ang pamahalaan sa mga pangarap nating trabaho," Adap remarked.

This sentiment of optimism and support reflects the broader objective of the event. This initiative ensures that graduating students do not simply search for work in isolation, but are instead supported by the government committed to their professional success, ultimately ensuring that they are well-prepared to contribute to the nation’s socio-economic development
