LOOK: As part of the Youth Week Celebration, Lipa City Local Government Unit deployed a Youth City Official in the Department of Labor and Employment Batangas Provincial Office (DOLE BPO) at Marawoy, Lipa City, from August 8-11.
DOLE BPO welcomed Realyn Galang, a senior high school student from Lipa City National High School, as Director Predelma Tan's City Youth Official counterpart during the government immersion.
Although a short stint, Galang shared that she learned more about the department's role in addressing labor-related concerns and implementing programs for the welfare of workers.
Furthermore, she also emphasized DOLE's impact in reaching communities and vulnerable sectors of the workforce.
This year's City Youth Officials came from thousands of aspiring students and barangay youth, with only a hundred chosen as youth delegates.
Aside from being the counterparts of different local and national government agency officials during the immersion, the youth city officials also joined in various leadership activities prepared by the City Government of Lipa.
