LPU BATANGAS BAGS NATIONAL BEST JOB PLACEMENT OFFICE AWARD, CLAIMS HALL OF FAME SPOT

In a momentous celebration of excellence in the field of employment facilitation, the Lyceum of the Philippines University - Batangas clinched its third win as the Best Job Placement Office (JPO) during the Search for Best PESO/JPO awarding ceremony and the 25th National PESO Congress held at Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City, Cavite, on October 15.

Dr. Alex Ylagan, JPO Manager of the LPU - Batangas, received the award alongside DOLE IV-A Regional Director Atty. Erwin N. Aquino, DOLE IV-A Batangas Provincial Office Director, Predelma M. Tan, and Batangas Provincial Federation of PESO Managers Officers, Mr. Noel Silang, and Ms. Rose Lyn Francisco.

According to Dr. Ylagan, earning the recognition was not an easy feat, but a culmination of years of dedication to excellent public service in the pursuit of the interests of their students, alumni, and the community.

From 2022 to 2025, the LPU-Batangas bagged the award, making them a hall of fame awardee for their third consecutive win.

“We all know that it is not easy to compete, from the provincial, regional to the national level, alongside more than 300 Job Placement Offices from various universities and colleges across the country. It requires dedication, consistency, and commitment to submit documents accurately and on time, from January to December each year,” he recalled.

Furthermore, he expressed his utmost gratitude to all the key partners who encouraged and supported their office to achieve not just the award, but the goal of serving every client with the key programs of the DOLE on referral and placement, career development support, and labor market information, as well as the other programs that uplift the lives of the people within their reach.

“LPU–Batangas would not have received this prestigious award without your collective guidance, encouragement, and support. To God Be the Glory and Honor,” Dr. Ylagan remarked.

It can be recalled that another Job Placement Office from the same province, the University of Batangas, also achieved the same recognition, making the win a back-to-back success not only for Batangas Province but also for CALABARZON in the field of employment facilitation for JPOs.

DOLE Batangas continues to nurture every Public Employment Service Office and JPO to be effective conduits of the Department in reaching more Batanguenos to have access to employment facilitation programs - ultimately aligned with the goal of full, decent, and productive employment for all.
