The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CALABARZON formally awarded the 2023 Regional Search for Best PESO Awards, Educational Institution and 5th to 6th Class Categories, to the Lyceum of the Philippines University - Batangas (LPU-B), and PESO Balete, Batangas, respectively during the 2nd Regional PESO Congress held at the Forest Crest Nature Resort and Hotel, Nasugbu, Batangas, September 5.
This year, Batangas Province bagged the two awards out of their three official nominees for various categories.
CAPTION: LPU-B and PESO Balete won the regional awards as the Best PESOs in their respective categories.
Dr. Alex Ylagan of the Career Development, Alumni, and Placement Office of LPU-B received the award.
Meanwhile, Mr. Alvin Lumbera, Manager of the PESO Balete, Batangas won the 5th to 6th class municipality category.
In their acceptance messages, Dr. Ylagan and Mr. Lumbera extended their utmost gratitude to the Batangas Provincial Federation of PESO Managers Inc. and the DOLE Batangas Provincial Office, headed by Director Predelma M. Tan, for their unwavering support.
CAPTION: Mr. Noel Silang of PESO Batangas City received recognition as an official nominee for the component city category.
Aside from them, Mr. Noel Silang of PESO Batangas City received recognition as the official nominee of Batangas Province in the Component City category.
Both of the winners, LPU-B and PESO Balete, Batangas will represent the CALABARZON region at the national level to be held in Tacloban City in October.
Last year, the University of Batangas, headed by Mr. Vincent Alcantara, bagged the national award as the Best PESO educational institution category and was hailed as a hall of fame of the said prestigious recognition.
