The Manifesto of Support

The Manifesto of Support to the Employment Drive in the Province of Batangas read as follows:

We, partners of the Department of Labor and Employment and concerned stakeholders of the community, share the vision of a full, decent and productive employment for all;

We acknowledge and understand the struggles of jobseekers and the burdens they face psychologically, socially, morally and economically;

We honor their continuous pursuit characterized by hard work, courage, grit and perseverance, and we vow to do our part in ensuring that all their efforts and sacrifices shall not be put in vain;

Therefore, we support the employment drive within the Province of Batangas, specifically the following initiatives which aim to give resolve to the concerns of many jobseekers:

· Pursigeh: A Success Community

· Be the Best: Bida ang The Best

· Cool Lab: A Collaborative Podcast about Trabaho, Negosyo and Kabuhayan

To the best of our abilities, we will actively promote the said projects and will give constructive inputs so that an excellent service—in matters of referral and placement; career guidance and employment coaching, and; labor market information—which the public truly deserves may be attained.

Message of Thanksgiving

Dir. Predelma M. Tan thanked the stakeholders who manifested their support to the employment drive of the Province. She acknowledged that community goals shall be attained if there is collaboration among various entities.

“At this point, talagang our hearts are full. We can really feel your support. Kaya naman, salamat.”

Dir. Tan mentioned the efforts of the PESOs and JPOs of Batangas. She said that this core group has always stand beside DOLE and is “always willing to take the front, ever ready to defy whatever challenges that come our way.”

She also thanked BatStateU CTI for the technical assistance given to the Pursigeh team. According to her, the mentorships under the BatStateU CTI’s SCAN program widened the horizons and increase the confidence of the developers of Pursigeh.

Furthermore, Dir. Tan cited the volunteerism spirit of the career coaches.

“Hindi lahat ay may ganyang pagtawag at hindi lahat ay may tapang na tumugon. But you, dear volunteer career coaches said your fiat. You uttered your yes.”

She also expressed the Department’s gratitude to Batangas Province Tripartite Industrial Peace Council and to the employer and worker sectors at large.

“Isang kahanga-hangang tanawin na ang sector ng management and labor ay aktibong katuwang namin para sa industrial peace and employment drive.”
