PARTNERS UNDERGO REORIENTATION FOR FY 2026 SPES IMPLEMENTATION IN BATANGAS

Representatives from various government and private employers attended the online orientation on the Special Program for the Employment of Students, March 6.
Director Predelma Tan of the Department of Labor and Employment IV-A Batangas Provincial Office, in her opening remarks, said that the activity further strengthens the collaboration of the Department and its partners in bridging decent jobs for students and out of school youth.

Further, Director Tan emphasized that the orientation also hopes to streamline the various phases of implementation from hiring to employment, and even up to post-engagement stage - making a holistic program experience both to the partners and to the beneficiaries.
During the orientation proper, the participants learned the salient features of SPES law including the requirements and forms, necessary for the successful application and disbursement of salaries to all beneficiaries.

Moreover, Labor and Employment Officer III, April Rose Magpantay, discussed the assessment from the previous year’s implementation and gave emphasis on the several phases of implementation that need improvement.

Additionally, she also reiterated the importance of the Basic Life Skills Training to which all beneficiaries should undergo in order to learn core and soft skills, every employee should possess.
Aside from these, the participants also raised their respective inquiries and clarifications, particularly with the requirements and other documentary alternatives which will all be submitted to the DOLE Field Office.
This year, the DOLE Batangas will cater to approximately 2,400 youth beneficiaries across the province.
