All the way from Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, Mr. Jay-R Bacadi, a job seeker, traveled with hopes of finding an employment opportunity at a technopark-initiated job fair in Batangas.

His perseverance was not in vain after he secured a new job as the first hired-on-the-spot job seeker at the recruitment activity held at the LIMA Technology Center, Malvar, Batangas, on October 18.

Among the hundreds of applicants, Ms. Ayra Maxene Jusay of Brgy. Inosluban, Lipa City, Batangas also landed her a new work opportunity at a manufacturing company inside the technopark.
As a first-time job seeker, Ms. Jusay expressed her sincere appreciation for the chance to find employment despite the several rejections she faced in her past applications.
Twenty companies attended the said job fair which catered not only to the locators inside the technopark but also other companies in nearby municipalities and cities.
“So far with regard to the labor program: DOLE, PESO, and all pertinent agencies have been really supportive, and we can feel that they’re also aligned with us and the vision of providing employment to our residents nearby and also providing quality talents for our employers,” Mr. Darwin Teh, Locator Engagement Manager of LIMA Estate.
During the job fair, Ms. Patricia Magsino, Assistant Labor Inspector, monitored the said activity and provided assistance with the successful facilitation of the recruitment.
With this collaboration, the Department hopes to achieve the constitutional mandate of the promotion of full employment opportunities for every job seeker.
